In all honesty this adaptation is not necessary at all. The 1978 version still holds up and should be the version thats shown (no doubt it will be shown this year. All I see here is a money grabbing quickie using some big names to attract attention. I also imagine this version will be toned down drastically for todays audiences, with no violence like the book/1978 film. The animation quality itself is a big let down, especially for 2018.
